The Regent (Christchurch) Ltd which operates The Regent is a Charitable Company limited by Guarantee. Membership is open to individuals who wish to support and participate in the governance of the organisation.

ABOUT THE GUARANTEE

As a member, you agree to a financial guarantee of £1, which may be claimed in the event of company liquidation up to 18 months after the company's closure. This guarantee helps protect the charitable status and financial integrity of the company.

It is essential that we hold up-to-date contact details for all members. Your full name, postal address and email address are required. Please ensure this information is accurate and notify us of any changes throughout the year.

MEMBERSHIP RIGHTS

As a company member, you are required to act in the best interests of the Charity. You are entitled to:
  • Stand for the office of Director of the Board
  • Voting rights at all General Meetings of The Regent
  • Receive regular updates, including email newsletters and invitations to occasional members' meetings

HOW TO JOIN THE COMPANY

Joining is straightforward and can be done:
  • Online (by the nominated account holder only)
  • By phone or in person during Box Office opening hours
If you wish to purchase a membership for someone else, please do so by phone or in person only. Please provide the member's name, address and email.

MEMBERSHIP TERM & RENEWAL

  • Membership runs for the duration of the calendar year, regardless of when you join.
  • All memberships expire on 31st December and must be renewed annually.

APPROVAL PROCESS

All memberships are subject to approval by the current Board of Directors. If your application is not approved, we will contact you within one month.
